Conçu par l'architecte G. Frers, il a été construit en 1974 dans les chantiers Huismann aux Pays-Bas.
Il a participé à l’Admiral's Cup en Angleterre, au milieu des années 70, avec un grand homme de mer à sa barre : Dennis Conner. Le propriétaire actuel, Vittorio Cavazzana, est le troisième propriétaire à naviguer sous le guidon du Yacht Club Adriatico de Trieste.
