Conçu pour un industriel allemand, Vortex est un sloop, un de ces croiseurs océaniques conçu pour la haute mer. Vortex a couru la grande course des Bermudes et possède un double « rating » IRC et CIM. Basé un temps à Lisbonne, il a son port d'attache depuis plusieurs année en Méditerranée où il participe aux régates classiques. Pour l'histoire, il convient de mentionner que sans Vortex, les Régates Impériales n'auraient peut-être jamais existé.
First designed for a german manager, Vortex is a beautiful sloop, one of these ocean cruisers-racers built up for offshore yachting and racing. With Lisboa as port of registry, Vortex sailed the Bermuda race and other great events in the seventies. She is now based on the french riviera, racing regularly the mediterranean circuit. For history, we must point out that without this magnificent boat, the Imperial Races would have perhaps never existed...
