Yen Li
Yen Li est un Côtre bermudien, oeuvre de l'architecte Arthur C. Robb.
D'origine Néo-zélandaise, fixé à Londres, àfficier de la Royal navy pendant la seconde guerre mondiale, Robb a travaillé notamment à la conception du gilet de sauvetage des aviateurs. Il est particulièrement connu pour la série des « Lion » (1950), produite à 150 exemplaires de par le monde, l'un d'entre eux remportera deux fois la Sydney-Hobart.
Dessiné en 1962, Yen Li a été construit aux chantiers Cheoy Lee à Hong Kong en 1963, un chantier naval réputé auquel d'autres grands architectes comme Bill Luders, Laurent Giles, John Alden ont fait appel.
Son propriétaire, Maurice Dessemond est un fidèle des Régates Impériales depuis leur création, et du circuit classique méditerranéen.

Arthur Cecil (Arthur C.) Robb (1908-1969) was born in 1908 in New Zealand, and was considered one of the great yacht designers of his generation. Himself a very good helmsman, he decided to make a living as a yacht designer, and chose to go to Great Britain. At the outbreak of World War II, he went to sea as a Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve Officer. In the latter, he was concerned with the design of the airborne lifeboat.
After the war he set up practice in London as a yacht designer. He was well known throughout the world, mainly in the United States, for his one-design cruiser/racers, particularly the « Lion » design (1950); one of them winning twice, the Sydney-Hobart race. Last but not least, Maurice Dessemond the owner, and Yen Li race regularly in Ajaccio since the creation of the Régates Impériales and in the Mediterranean classics.
