Pour Charles Nicholson, le métier d'achitecte était un art.
Marigold est un exemple parfait de cet art. C'est un de ses tout premiers yachts importants.
Découvert dans un état pitoyable, Marigold a été d'abord restauré par Greg Powlesland et Alan Laird. Sa vente à Glen Allan en 1989 a permis d'achever sa restauration en 1994.
